About PMIC
Where It All Began.
Founded in 2014, we began our journey as a multidisciplinary venture rooted in the idea that both Medical and Chiropractic Physicians have something unique and important to offer patients being treated after injuries and accidents. Bonded together, we felt that our care for our patients would be more effective as a medical partnership than either of our individual parts could offer them.
What We Found.
Starting out, our medical practitioners and interventional pain physicians offered medical management and interventional pain procedures to injured patients from all over the greater Baton Rouge area in conjunction with our chiropractic conservative care colleague partners. This combination produced exceptional results both clinically and with patient satisfaction—research and other models such as the Cancer Centers of America, The Mayo Clinic, and the Veterans Administration have all reported similar findings too.
Based on these satisfactory results, we continued to expand our search to assist patients by adding in other specialty providers such as an Orthopedic Spine & Orthopedic Extremity Surgeon to our clinic for evaluations, treatment, and surgical recommendations. We have also successfully incorporated providers for neurology and mTBI rehabilitation protocols to treat patients with post concussive symptoms.
The results have been nothing short of phenomenal and our patients are reportedly happy to have a centralized location/system where they can be treated post injury/accident.
Our Expansion.
In the fall of 2021, PMIC was officially branded and moved into a state-of-the-art facility at our current location in the heart of Baton Rouge. We have and will continue to add additional services that further grow our team of expert physicians and staff for the benefit of our community keeping in mind our whole body wellness model (treatment of the body and mind).
Currently—in additon to or Interventional Pain Management treatments, we have expanded into offering services for patients via general medical management where we can run common diagnostic testing and prescribe medications based on those results.
We are also excited to announce that we have added several medical spa suites where we offer patients the opportunity to gain further control of their health with our FDA approved invisa-RED weight loss system, weight loss injections, and vitamin IV hydration therapy infusions—as well as offering aesthetic medical treatments such as Botox® injections, Juvéderm® fillers and SkinPen® micro needling with and without PRP.
